Managing Director

Dr Corrine Austin FRSB

Corrine established Austin Davis Biologics in 2009, and co-developed the pioneering saliva test for tapeworm, commercialised as EquiSal Tapeworm. Through dedication and vision, Corrine has transformed Austin Davis Biologics from its origins as a scientific consultation service into a globally recognised equine parasite diagnostic laboratory. Today, the company maintains Corrine’s original focus on scientific excellence in commercial diagnostic service provisions, alongside scientific research and development in the veterinary industry.

Director of Consulting Services

Professor Paul Davis, PhD FRSB FRSM FRMS

Although a founding partner of ADB, Paul was officially employed in 2025 as Director of Consulting Services. He  has extensive experience in diagnostics, which includes being a co-inventor of lateral flow technology in the 80s.  He has  founded multiple successful scientific companies over the years and he is an honorary professor in the School of Biosciences at the University of Kent.

Director of Veterinary Science

Professor Jacqui Matthews

RCVS Recognised Specialist (Parasitology)

Jacqui is a world-leading veterinary parasitologist. Whilst in academia, her group studied ruminant and equine parasites. Part of her research involved development of the Small Redworm Blood test, which ADB optimised and validated with her group before the test's commercial launch in 2019. Since her appointment to ADB in 2022, Jacqui plays an active role in sharing knowledge about ADB’s diagnostic tests and educating end-users in the equine sector. She supports professionals in clinical settings, ensuring the appropriate and effective application of parasite diagnostics in the field. In addition to her outreach and clinical advisory responsibilities, Jacqui guides ongoing scientific research within ADB. She is an honorary professor at the University of Edinburgh.

Kirsty joined ADB in 2013 and was instrumental in the development of all ADB's current commercial tests. Kirsty is responsible for R&D on novel diagnostic tests as well as having oversight of all technical aspects of ADB’s test portfolio, ensuring their scientific accuracy and operational reliability.
Andrew, a director of ADB, is a very experienced diagnostic scientist, ranging from ELISAs through to point of care test formats. He also has expertise in 3D-printing and device design.
Iva more recently joined ADB from Cranfield University bringing extensive experience in research and development of  electrochemical, optical and piezoelectric sensors/ biosensors as well as developing more conventional assays for a wide range of  diagnostic applications.

Natalia joined ADB in 2022 with a passion for parasitology following an MSc project on dog parasite transmission. Sarah joined in 2023 with a keen interest in horses and parasitology, having completed a PhD in nutrition. Jess, Grisial and Sue joined in 2025. Jess brings relevant veterinary diagnostic laboratory experience. Grisial has recently completed her PhD in bovine lung worm and she is a very keen parasitologist, and Sue has many years of experience with ELISA technology. The team is responsible for operating the commercial services as well as conducting R&D in equine parasitology and novel tests.

Operations Manager

Jo-Anne Tillie

Jo has an extensive background in project implementation and management within John Lewis management teams. At ADB Jo manages communications and marketing, EquiSal kit manufacturing, and manages critical business operations, including regulatory compliance and health and safety.

IT and Process Manager

Stuart Trevallion

Stuart joined ADB in 2013 and was instrumental in designing and implementing processes to commercialise ADB's commercial tests. Stuart currently oversees all ADB's processes and IT infrastructure, as well as being responsible for EquiSal saliva collection kit distribution across the UK and Europe.

Core responsibilities of this team are saliva sample processing and manufacture of the EquiSal saliva collection kits (all undertaken in-house). In addition, Rachael is responsible for many laboratory support activities as well as initial stages of the EquiSal test process, Marie is involved in EquiSal kit despatches, Kirsty is our laboratory aid and Hannah also works within the admin team.

Head of Finance

Karen Levett, FCCA

As well as having her own accounting business, Karen heads up ADB's finance team. Karen is a very experienced accountant, including a wide range of financial activities  beyond standard accounting procedures.

Finance

Chris Burdett

Chris joined ADB in 2024 as the company has expanded, bringing expertise in bookkeeping and experience in business finance.  He  manages day to day financial aspects of ADB.
