About Us

Austin Davis Biologics Ltd (ADB), founded in 2009 by Dr Corrine Austin and Professor Paul Davis, is a family run company that delivers scientific innovations and technology focused on equine health and parasite diagnostics.  EquiSal® Tapeworm, the saliva test to diagnose tapeworm infections in horses, was the first product from ADB's R&D programme to reach the market in 2014. An equivalent blood test for tapeworm was also developed and commercialised as part of ADB’s diagnostic services. This test is also available as a laboratory ELISA kit outside of the UK. Completing the current diagnostic service provision is the Small Redworm Blood Test, which was developed by Prof Jacqui Matthews’ research group at Moredun Research Institute before being commercialised by ADB in 2019. In addition to our veterinary diagnostic services, ADB undertakes research and development in parasitology through to development of novel diagnostic tests within the veterinary sector. ADB's highly skilled and very experienced diagnostic scientists also offer scientific consultation in a wide range of sectors.
